What is included in the Basic Cleaning Package?
IN EVERY ROOM WE WILL: Clean accessible surfaces of dust & debris, tidy up, take out trash and recycling, vacuum & mop floors.
IN THE KITCHEN: Wipe counter-tops & cabinet exteriors, wipe down appliances exteriors, clean inside microwave.
IN THE BEDROOM: Straighten Bedding and fluff up pillows.
IN THE BATHROOM: Scrub & sanitize toilet, sink and shower, clean mirrors and glass, hang or towels neatly.

Why do I need to book a deep cleaning at my initial cleaning appointment?
Deep cleaning is a more intense form of regular cleaning but with way more attention to detail. Think of regular cleaning as more of an upkeep for things like cleanliness, whereas deep cleaning is more intensive and extensive, and usually done every once in a while, instead of weekly or biweekly.
When you deep clean, this involves a thorough cleaning of every nook, cranny, and surface in your entire house, this includes neglected, tricky, and hard to reach spots. We will tackle hard water stains and soap scum and disinfect all surfaces. When you do this kind of cleaning, not only does it make everything clean, it helps to improve the general sanitation and pleasant livability of your home.
Do I need to do anything before the cleaners arrive?
Yes, please – to make our services more efficient, we ask that you pick up clothing, toys, and other household items before the cleaning. If you didn’t add Dish washing to your Cleaning Package, we expect your Dishwasher to be empty so we can load it and run it for you.
How much will your Services cost?
We price based on the square footage of your Home, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms in the home. Which ever is greater will be the accurate package. The condition of your home has a big impact on the rate as well.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for a move-out or Cottage clean?
Yes, please – we need electricity and hot water to clean, so please make sure your utilities are functioning.
Do you bring your own cleaning supplies, products and equipment?
J&C Elite Cleaning Services will bring all the necessary cleaning supplies. Clients MUST provide garbage liners and a toilet bowl brush. Some Clients leave out special cleaners for us to use and some Commercial Contracts provide their own equipment and products.
Do I need to be home while my house is being cleaned?
Not at all, One of our many goals is to be a convenience to our customers and not put a halt to their day. All we need is access to your beautiful home and work our magic.
What about my pets?
We love them, and we treat them like our own. Just let us know of any special instructions for your furry friends. We also make sure that our Products are Pet friendly and don’t cause any harm.
What about smoking?
If you do smoke and only do so outside of the home, we would love to clean your home, however we do not have any team members that can clean while being smoked inside of the home.
What about holidays or snow days?
In rare instances where we have to move your cleaning day, such as holidays, we will give you at least 24 business hours notice. The only exception to the above situation is if the weather becomes too hazardous for your cleaning tech. Our snow policy is: If the school district in your area closes then we will call to reschedule your cleaning day.

Do you do in Home consultations?
Can I trust my cleaning professional?
All of our workers are interviewed and pass a detailed background check.
What happens if something goes wrong during my appointment?
If something goes wrong we’re here to make it right. Please let us know right away and we’ll be there to take care of it.
Are you registered and insured?
Yes! Your safety and protection is top priority. We carry a Liability Insurance including WSIB for all of our Cleaning Techs.
What are my payment options?
Our secure Housecall pro booking and billing program will give you the option to pay via Credit card, EMT, cheque, cash or with our E-Giftcards.
Do you work on weekends and Holidays?
J&C Elite Cleaning Services operates Monday-Fridays. If Airbnb turnovers fall on a weekend or stat Holiday you can inquire in our Service and we can check with our Staff if they are available to work. Please note that extra fees apply.
Do you do garbage removal?
No we don’t. We ask for you to provide a garbage bin in the garage or shed outside to collect your garbage’s for you. Some of our team members don’t have the room in their vehicle or a truck and with different dump hours we can’t store it.
How much notice do you need to book a cleaning?
The more notice the better, some seasons are not as busy and it can vary.
We recommend a 2 week notice window to get you booked in.
Do you have a cancellation fee?
J&C Elite Cleaning Services — CANCELLATION POLICY
Once you’ve made an appointment with J&C Elite Cleaning Services or have ongoing appointments,
we have now returned to the appointment time exclusively and respectively for you.
If you cancel less than twenty-four (24) hours from your appointment time and your cancellation reason is not an emergency you will be charged 50% (half) the amount of your agreed rate for the cancelled appointment or a minimum of $40.
We kindly ask for a 48 hours notice of cancellation or preferably the most notice you can provide once you know you will not be able to keep the appointment time.
We are happy to accommodate you with a rescheduled appointment however that will be subject to availability.
What are your payment terms?
Residential Payment Terms: upon Receipt of Invoice
Commercial Payment Terms:
NET 15 Days, past due Invoices are subject to a finance charge of 2% per month.
What cities / areas do you serve?
We serve all of Manitoulin Island, Espanola and also Sudbury for bigger projects. Please note that any area out of our local Service Area (Kagawong) will be charged a Mileage fee.
Should I hire a Cleaning Company or a an Individual Cleaner?
Hiring a house cleaner can ease your stress while making your home shine. But hiring someone to clean your house can be a bit daunting, especially when it comes to deciding whether to hire a local cleaning company or an individual house cleaner.

Standard procedures and training: Cleaning companies often have well-defined procedures and processes. They also train their employees to be thorough and consistent.

Quick: Because cleaning companies often send more than one person, they’ll be in and out of your home faster than an individual.

Reliable: If a cleaner is sick or on vacation, a commercial cleaning company usually fills in the spot with a replacement.

Liability and insurance coverage: A Cleaning company should be licensed and have liability insurance in case something gets damaged in your home or business. If a cleaner gets hurt they are covered through WSIB. Verify this before hiring any house cleaner for your home.

Background Screening staff: You won’t need to interview any house cleaners, as the company puts employees through a formal process.
Level of Risk
Independent house cleaners aren’t often registered and insured. If something breaks when they’re in your home, they likely won’t cover the cost. If they get hurt while in your home, you may be on the hook to pay their medical bills. J&C Elite Cleaning Services is registered and insured, so you don’t have these risks when cleaners are in your home.
No matter which you decide on, make sure to discuss important liability and insurance details before hiring a house cleaner.
Is there anything J&C Elite Cleaning Services doesn't do?
Weight- We have a 30lb weight limit for safety reasons. We can certainly move smaller furniture/items to clean under. If you require cleaning under heavier furniture or appliances, we ask you to move it before your appointment and we will be happy to clean it for you.
Clutter- We ask that clutter be removed for you to receive the most out of our cleaning services. We do not move clutter to clean the area.
Pet Messes/Body Fluids- For Regular Cleanings –This includes but is not limited to: Litter boxes, pet messes, blood, feces & urine. This is something we do not do for the safety of our employees. If you do need body fluids and pet messes cleaned up please contact us to discuss a proper cleaning Package for everyone’s safety.
Mold- Small amounts of mold are common in some older homes and we can work with that. Large amounts of mold we will not work around as it is a safety concern for our employees.
